This March, KBE Drinks proudly sponsored the 2018 Yorkshire Post Oliver Awards celebrating the finest cuisine across Leeds and the wider region. Now in its tenth year, the Oliver Awards honour the progressive list of inventive venues that continue to put Leeds on the map as a city to dine. Check out the full list of winners here but we want to give a special mention to a few of our favourites. Best Indian 2018 went to the brilliant Bengal Brasserie. Located in the city centre on Merrion Way, they serve up classic Indian dishes with a special Bengal Brasserie touch, and with the beautiful modern décor it really does set itself apart from the many balti houses Leeds is home to. Bundobust was awarded Best Street Food 2018 due to its quick and vibrant Indian dishes complemented by an extensive list of intriguing craft beers. Bundobust’s menu is entirely meat free and largely vegan enabling them to offer extremely reasonable prices, even boasting a 2 for £7 offer on their dishes at lunchtime. If you are looking for a quick bite without compromising flavour make sure to pay Bundobust a visit. Vice and Virtue had a triumphant evening, sweeping awards in both the Best Service and Best Overall categories. The venue started as Vice, a charismatic cocktail bar and later added its restaurant, Virtue. Vice and Virtue boasts 3 set menus ranging in price from £35 - £55 and is noted for its outstanding service and imaginative Chef Adam Wadsworth (who also took home the award for Best Chef). Overall it was a fantastic evening enjoyed by the dedicated restauranteurs of Leeds. We extend huge congratulations to all the nominees and winners and look forward to next year.
